Chappell Roan has big plans for her performance at Elton John's upcoming Academy Awards viewing party in March.

As previously reported, Elton's asked her to provide the entertainment at his annual star-studded benefit, which over the past 32 years has raised nearly $115 million for his Elton John AIDS Foundation. In an exclusive statement to Them, she says she's "absolutely glowing" over the fact that she got the gig.

"Elton and his husband, David, have been incredible guiding lights for me this year, showing me a love that has truly helped me through," she continues. "I'm deeply passionate about supporting the queer community in every way I can, and I'm so proud to be part of an organization that fights for equality and provides lifesaving access to care for queer communities."

She finishes by saying, "I can’t wait to bring an unabashedly ☆gay☆ performance to such an iconic night!"

Chappell might go into Elton's March 2 event as a multiple Grammy winner. At the Feb. 2 ceremony, she's up for six trophies, including record of the year, song of the year, album of the year and best new artist.
